Ikoro Mbaise Unity Football Competition Enters 2nd Round, …As Six Teams hustle for Semifinal Tickets

The maiden edition of the Ikoro Mbaise Unity Football Competition has gone into the second round of the Tournament which kicked –off two months ago.
Six teams reportedly have qualified from each of the three LGA’s in Mbaise and are expected to be paired against each other for the inter-LGA stage of the tourney which  is expected to take place on 4th ,7th  and 11th December, 2016 at selected centers.
According to the media officer of Ikoro Mbaise Global forum, Sponsors of the annual championship, Mr. Ezenwa Adiuku told Sports Ambassadors that teams who sailed through the preliminary stage of the competition includes; Onicha ward 2 and Ezido ward from Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA, while Umuhu and Uvuru ward 2 made it from Aboh Mbaise LGA just as Ogbe and Oparanadim qualified from Ahiazu Mbaise LGA in that order.
Mr. Adiuku further informed Sports Ambassadors that the inter-LGA encounters will see three teams qualifying into the Semifinal stage adding that the best looser will join the three to make up for the semis.
Meanwhile, the co-ordinators of Ikoro Mbaise Global forum, Hon Architect Chukwunyere Ikwu has reiterated that the soccer competition is intended to harness hidden football talents from the grassroots as well as promote co-operation and unity among the people of Mbaise.
